As spring arrives, now is the time to start looking for a getaway, if you fancy somewhere warmer or are just looking for a new place to visit, we’ve compiled a list of places for you to visit which we hope you’ll enjoy. From hiking and speedways through to exploring state parks, we’ve got something for everyone.
Within driving distance of St. Louis and the University of Illinois, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied in Tyler. Wakulla Springs State Park is nearby with over 10 miles of trails to explore, and the largest forest in Florida, Apalachicola National Forest is a short drive away. Visit Occoneechee State Park with activities including, fishing, horse riding and hiking over the 2,700 acre park. For a fast paced evening out, the South Boston Speedway and Virginia International Raceway as situated close-by with the NASCAR races at the speedway starting in March.
