Magnuson launches “support reservations” for franchised, branded hotels.

Magnuson Hotels, the world’s largest independent hotel group, announced today the launch of “support reservations” for franchised & branded hotels.

Effective immediately, any hotel affiliated with a major franchise or brand can access low cost support bookings from Magnuson Hotels’ massive global reservation network. Hotels will be able to keep their name and affiliation, yet increase occupancy on a per-booking basis via a free website linking hotels to Google, Facebook, Twitter and Tripadvisor. Hotels will receive 24-hour express activation, and pay only a commission on audited bookings produced.

While U.S. hotel occupancy continues to stagnate at nearly 10 percent below the 50-year average of 64 percent, Magnuson Hotels reports a 218% increase in direct bookings year to date from Google, Facebook, Twitter and Tripadvisor.
