Utah Best Western rebrands as Magnuson Hotel Salt Lake- Midvale

Magnuson Hotels, the world’s largest independent hotel group, announced today the complete rebranding of a Salt Lake City, UT Best Western as the Magnuson Hotel Salt Lake- Midvale. This 91-room Best Western of 23 years sought to elevate its local, regional and national market exposure with the Magnuson Hotels brand designation.
“Decreased travelers throughout the state due to this economy as well as challenges with unrealistic expectations from Best Western have led us to seek out Magnuson Hotels,” say owners Pam & Gaylen Nate. “The customer seemed to get lost in all the corporate hype and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to show our guests who we were as a team and as their hosts. Magnuson Hotels, on the other hand allows us to express our personality as a hotel more thoroughly than before.”
“We chose Magnuson Hotels because they offered us a reservation system and a brand while simultaneously allowing us to keep our individuality as an independently owned hotel,” added the Nates.
“By branding with Magnuson Hotels, we have more individuality in the operation of our hotel. We have more autonomy to run our hotel based on decades of experience, rather than statistics,” stated Pam. “Magnuson also has a more personal, one-on-one communication within their corporate structure that allows us (as a hotel) to work more efficiently to provide the best hospitality and service for our guests,” added Gaylen.
