Northern Ireland is one of the areas of the United Kingdom, sharing a border with the Republic of Ireland. It was created in 1921 and retains ties to both the rest of the UK and Ireland. Northern Ireland is known for it’s temperate climate and plentiful waterways. Popular sights to see in the area include the Giant’s Causeway and the Marble Arch Caves. Northern Ireland also has a transport system which includes airports, trains, motorways and a ferry system.
