“The birthplace of rock n’ roll” is a good choice to start your road trip with a bang! When people think of Memphis, they think of the some of the greatest music ever made and of course the king of rock n roll, Elvis Presley! Every true fan should visit the home of the great in Graceland. The 14-acre estate has something for everyone and will be a trip you won’t forget. Rock isn’t the only genre associated with Memphis, there’s something for everyone especially if you’re a real music lover. Soul is part of the city which is clear in the sights such as the Memphis rock ‘n’ soul museum, and the world-famous soul food. The Beale Street historic district is known as the home of the blues, and with all of that, you can fit a whole world of music into one great city.
If you’re looking for a summer full of life and sound, there is no better place to go than Music City. Nashville has rightly earned this nickname for being the Country music capital of the world, making it a true gem of America. Don’t believe us? Just take a shot at the Nashville Nightlife, which will show you that the Country music is just the start! You can start by visiting landmarks like the Grand Ole Opry, or the Ryman Auditorium. Maybe you’d like a relaxing summer, well that’s just as easy. Nashville sums up the phrase “southern hospitality”, especially with their incredible food. Soul food is the bread and butter of comfort and the unique dishes that Nashville is known for, including Country ham and Catfish will make your mouth water!
Atlanta is going to be the perfect place for diving into the roots of some of your favourite musicians. “Hotlanta” (a name from the Allman Brothers Band) doesn’t just describe the weather, but the booming music scene too. With all kinds of music, you could explore one of the most diverse music scenes in the U.S. Atlanta is the home of some of the greatest hip-hop and R&B singers, if you want to sample the Atlanta Nightlife, try MGQ Concourse, or Halo lounge. If you’re desperate to get a piece of that Atlanta heavy metal, why not give Smith’s Olde Bar a shot, for that authentic Atlanta experience. Possibly the only place in the world with the perfect mix of calm and crazy, is the “Big Easy”, New Orleans is a one-in-a-kind city, which you’ll be able to tell as soon as your feet hit the ground. It is a melting pot of African, French, and American cultures, that embodies every part of the city. New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz, so as you can imagine, it has an incredible history. The nightlife is well known for being the day life too! Parades like Mardi Gras, aren’t hard to find if you’re looking for a party environment. Or, if you just want a more laid-back vibe, you can visit the infamous French Quarter. New Orleans is the perfect place to finish your road trip in style.
